OS X: How to reset the DNS cache

For OS X Mountain Lion or Lion, use the following Terminal command to reset the DNS cache:

sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

For Mac OS X v10.6, use the following Terminal command to reset the DNS cache:

sudo dscacheutil -flushcache
